Makerspace & FSIWS Club

Develop innovative ideas on a laboratory scale and start your first small series productions with us at the incubator. There are no limits to your creativity! On more than 1,000 square meters of laboratory and pilot plant space, you will find pilot plants for the development, production and packaging of liquid, solid or powdered foods.

As a food startup with a newly founded company, you have the opportunity with this offer to gain access to the diverse pilot facilities and production space, as well as to long rooms, and to achieve your first "proof of concept".

In addition, this package includes access to our startup community, contacts to service providers in the food sector and exclusive events, webinars & workshops.

Quickstart product and process development

You would like to get support in food technology beyond the mere use of our infrastructure? Then the "Quickstart Product and Process Development" is just right for you! Here you will get individual support in a 3-hour intensive coaching by food technologists to advance your development and/or production process. You also have the option of booking additional expert coaching hours.

Expert coaching

No matter if you are a founded startup or a prospective founder, the expert coaching can be booked by everyone. In this one-hour coaching (online or offline), an expert deals with your questions according to your needs in the areas of food development or founding, marketing or financing. The coaching dates can be booked individually and flexibly.

All-inclusive club: Makerspace, expert coaching, FSIWS club.

This three-month program is for external startups that need production opportunities and more intensive support in building their business. Here, startups receive two hours of expert coaching every month as well as the opportunity to use the infrastructure eight days a month. Both the coaching and the days of use can be increased individually.

In der Gesellschaft findet aktuell ein Umdenken im Konsum von Lebensmitteln statt, welcher durch den Wunsch nach Regionalität als auch qualitativ ernährungsphysiologisch hochwertigen Produkten gekennzeichnet ist.

The trust in regionally grown and produced food with a known origin has become increasingly stronger, which has also increased the willingness to invest more in precisely these food products.

Our goal is to support farmers in developing their own food products directly on the farm in order to expand their own added value as well as the range of regionally produced food. Above all, locally produced foodstuffs are to be given a new status and a place in the trade and thus the potential of a new source of income is to be brought closer to agriculture.

Besonders gut ist unser Zertifikat geeignet, um mit unseren Coaches in einem Jahr Eure Lebensmittel Startup-fertig zu machen. Erstes lebensmitteltechnologisches Know-how, wie z.B. die Produktentwicklung, Haltbarmachung oder Deklarationen wird auf unserer offenen Plattform vermittelt. Unsere weiteren Kooperationspartner des Cluster-Ernährung vom KErn (Kompetenzzentrum für Ernährung) und der Öko-Modellregion Kulturraum Ampertal werden zusätzlich ihre Unterstützung in den Bereichen des Networkings, Vermarktung, Vertrieb etc. anbieten, um so das Angebot für nachhaltig und regional produzierte Lebensmittel zu erweitern.

Series of lectures on health and nutrition by AOK Bayern and HSWT

Together with AOK Bayern (AOK), Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) launched a knowledge series with lectures on health and nutrition in the Digital Lecture Lab of the Food Startup Incubator Weihenstephan.

A variety of exciting topics, from the impact of nutrition on health to background on mental health, were presented during the first lectures through the end of 2022.

The free lectures could be attended on site, but could also be followed live online via the Internet. Due to limited space, pre-registration was required for on-site participation (see below for the link to register for the respective lecture).

Everyone interested in the topics of nutrition and health was invited. We were pleased to welcome numerous participants online or on site.
