Network partners & supporters

We support founders who, together with us, contribute to a sustainable world. We also offer these founders in the food sector the opportunity to develop innovative ideas for better and more sustainable food and quickly put them into practice without major financial risk.

The great success of this offer, with the number of food startups and founding teams active at the Food Startup doubling in the last two years (currently around 30 active food startups), completely surprised us.

We are therefore currently faced with the major challenge of meeting the rapidly growing demands on the required infrastructure such as pilot systems, coworking spaces and support. Here we urgently need the support of network partners and sponsors who will help us overcome these challenges together.

Interested in becoming a network partner with us? Then we look forward to hearing from you at info@fsiws.com

Investors and companies

In parallel to the expansion of the Food Startup Incubator (currently around 30 food startups as well as over 25 certificate and academy graduates as well as student start-up teams), we are building an accelerator for food startups with the Innovation Campus Food , which will be launched at the end of 2023.

We are expanding these activities in close collaboration with our partner, the Strascheg Center at Munich University of Applied Sciences (SCE). You have already successfully established an accelerator in the food sector with the Drink Innovation Campus (DICA).

We look forward to hearing from you.

How to become a female founder

Description

The Food Startup Incubator Weihenstephan (FSIWS) at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University (HSWT), together with the International University (IU) and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), the free online short program “How to become a female founder?” for those interested in starting a business women. Every spring (around March to July), experts give valuable tips on start-up-relevant topics such as funding, negotiating, creating a business model and legal aspects in around fifteen live online events.

In addition, nine online webinars are available to help you catch up on the essential steps of setting up a business.

Ladies! Take a look around at: https://we-female-founders.de

The program successfully contributes to increasing the visibility of women with innovative business ideas and increasing the number of female founders. Did you know? Most company founders in Germany are still male. Although the proportion of female founders is increasing, it is currently only around 16 percent. A particular challenge for female founders is that they receive less capital for their ventures, as potential investors often rate women lower than men. In contrast, companies founded by women are usually more successful than companies founded exclusively by men.

Questions about the program will be answered at info@fsiws.com .
