The FSIWS receives 2nd place with €4,000. The practical certificate course we offer was able to significantly increase the proportion of female founders in the food startup ecosystem. This was achieved in particular with targeted scholarships for women and mothers interested in starting a business.
This year, with the motto “ Tailwind for aspiring female founders in Bavaria”, three cash prizes were awarded to universities in Bavaria that use targeted measures to motivate, qualify or support female students or researchers in relation to the topic of entrepreneurship. A total of 26 applications were submitted from all over Bavaria.
Currently, only just under 20 percent of all founders are female. This means that a lot of potential remains unused – including at universities. That's why this year's HOCHPSRUNGAward honored measures and concepts that help to raise awareness and qualify more female students and scientists for the topic of entrepreneurship. In total, cash prizes worth
12,000 euros were awarded. The HOCHSPRUNG Award is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art.
