On May 8th and 9th, 2023, the participants of the class of 2023 presented their start-up ideas
The third year of the certificate course “Founding a Food Startup” started almost a year ago.
One participant is Manuela. She comes from the Dachau district. She and her family run a family farm. You have been involved in fruit cultivation with direct marketing for a few years now. Your new project: freeze-dried strawberries.
Individual coaching & input through workshops
During the certificate, the participants received individual coaching every two weeks to discuss the status of the project and clarify questions.
In addition, an extensive program of workshops is offered both online and live on site at the FSIWS. A wide variety of topics relating to entrepreneurship and food production are covered here, such as “Unique Value Proposition”, “Sensor Technology” and “Product Development” or “Financial Planning”. The workshops were held by our partners StartinFood and the HM Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, among others.
Product development at the HSWT Institute of Food Technology
The HSWT Institute of Food Technology (ILM) is also the headquarters of the FSIWS. The ILM offers the necessary infrastructure for initial product developments, analyzes and small series production. Therefore, product development appointments take place on site at the ILM at least eight times a year as part of the certificate course. The institute's infrastructure is always available to participants free of charge for their prototype development.
The regular on-site appointments also offer the opportunity for exchange and networking. Lunch together offers participants the opportunity to relax and exchange ideas
