On Thursday March 21st, 2024, a group of ambitious entrepreneurs and food technologists once again started looking for their recipe for success to found their personal startup. As part of this year's edition of the “Food Startup Academy”, participants will learn the most important basics of starting a business in the food sector over the next 10 weeks. You will be supported by the experts from the FSIWS as well as from StartinFood & the SCE (Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship), who will pass on their knowledge of marketing, sales and finance to the participants.
After a basic introduction and getting to know each other, the academy began with workshops on entrepreneurial thinking and action, unique value proposition and the concept of the Lean Canvas, which was rounded off with a joint team workshop led by Moritz Hofmann from SCE. In addition to basic specialist knowledge, the focus is also on personal advice in order to bring the budding founders' food ideas to market quickly and successfully. This also includes the correct preservation, quality assurance and packaging of the food, which goes hand in hand with the in-house product development in the FSIWS technical center.
The Food Startup Academy continues next week with the basics of pitching and the proper preservation of food.
The FSIWS team wishes all participants much success and looks forward to your creative ideas.
