In 2050 there will be 9.8 billion people living on our planet. By then we must have doubled our current food production in order to continue to provide everyone with food and drink. Today, around two of the currently over eight billion people in the world do not have access to nutritionally valuable foods. In addition, around 735 million people are affected by chronic hunger. Nevertheless, we waste around 1.3 billion tons of food every year worldwide. At the same time, we are promoting global warming through our current diet, as this is responsible for around 26% of the greenhouse gases emitted. A significant proportion of this, around 8-10%, comes directly from food waste.

Our offers for you

Use of the required infrastructure

For the development and production of your food, we offer you more than 1,000 square meters of laboratory and technical center space with pilot systems for the production of liquid , solid or powdered food .

We also give you access to coworking spaces and meeting rooms.

Starting students at Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences of all bachelor's or master's degree programs as well as all employees have free access to the entire infrastructure.
